Western Dental to stop accepting Denti-Cal in 13 California offices

Beginning June 1st Western Dental will stop accepting new Denti-Cal patients in 13 California offices. Western Dental is citing low Denti-Cal reimbursement rates for this change. These rates have not been adjusted for inflation since 2001 and were cut 10% in 2013.

Western Dental is California’s largest provider of dental services for low income patients according to CEO and President Simon Castellanos.
