new dental groupFounded in 1971 by William Snyder, DDS, Dental Associates of Connecticut (DACT) began with one location in Newtown, CT.  In 2017, they had a growth spurt. In 2023, the privately held group (which had 20 locations at the time) won the prestigious Group Dentistry Now ‘Emerging Dental Groups to Watch’ award.

Now, DACT has announced the launch of a new multi-specialty dental platform, Archway Dental Partners. Dental Associates of Connecticut will continue to operate with their branded name along with the practices that fall under Archway’s banner.

DACT’s footprint of 23 practices across the state serves as a springboard for Archway’s expansion in the Northeast as the group plans to expand both in new geographies and within their existing footprint.

The new dental partnership organization (DPO) platform is built upon the foundation of DACT’s group partnership model, collaborative culture and clinical focus.

Its 70 doctors across general dentistry, pediatrics, orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics and endodontics are integral to the mission of Archway. Pediatric-specific outposts in New Milford and Danbury highlight the group’s multi-specialty focus. Archway also celebrates its position as the state of Connecticut’s leading employer.

new dental groupAdam Richichi joined DACT in the latter part of 2016 to work closely with partner doctors on the future of the organization. He will continue in his role as CEO at DACT, leading the Archway Dental Partners platform alongside key personnel from the group’s management and clinical team, including Dr. Robert Aledort, General Dentist and senior doctor partner at Dental Associates of Connecticut.

“Having practiced here for over 25 years, I can tell you we have always focused on serving the needs of our patients and gaining the trust of our local communities. Our teamwork and mentoring have helped us to become one of the largest dental group partnerships in the region.” – Dr. Aledort

Built on the foundational practice’s partnership approach and provider support, the Archway platform is primed to power growth and positively impact essential areas for teams and doctors alike, including operations, recruitment and growth.

Adam Richichi, CEO at Archway Dental Partners, says of the newly-launched platform: “The creation of Archway is a reaffirmation of our founding group’s doctor-partner-centric value system. We are an organization of dentists for dentists, so we’ve developed a management support platform to reflect that. We exist to push the boundaries of both the quality of care we provide, and also the integral career and practice support for our providers. We believe that partnership is the key to the future of our industry.

“Since 1971, this group has been dedicated to producing an environment that patients want to come to and providers want to practice in. In truth, everything that is outstanding about DACT remains the same, in the best sense of the word. The approach to people and culture remains at the heart of the business. The quality of care continues at those same high standards DACT has excelled at for the past five decades.

“Archway is our path to bringing more of this culture-driven perspective across the Northeast, by partnering with accomplished clinicians and high-quality practices. The Archway brand itself stands to demonstrate the unique, modern and innovative approach this partnership group stands for when it comes to dentistry and its accompanying business needs.”

In support of Archway’s launch and future growth plans, Martis Capital, which spent a year building a thesis around the multi-specialty dental market opportunity, and Din Ventures led a recapitalization of the business and provided growth capital.

One of Archway Dental Partners’ goals is to become New England’s leading dental partnership platform.
