NC Dental Group Adds Affiliation and DeNovo location

HP Family Dental has joined forces with a North Carolina dental group, University Dental Associates (UDA). The affiliation with HP Family Dental in High Point, North Carolina was lauded as University Dental Associates’ 21st practice location in the Tar Heel state. University Dental Associates’ High Point office is led by Dr. Tommy Upchurch,  Dr. Joel Manchego, and Dr. Ioana Pogacean.  UDA also opened the doors to a de novo location on May 1, 2017. The Benfield office, led by Dr. Mallori Watson and Dr. Adam Firestone, is UDAs’ 22nd practice in North Carolina.

University Dental Associates is nationally recognized for quality, having maintained accreditation through the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care.  This accreditation is an external, independent review of a health care delivery organization against nationally-accepted standards and its own policies, procedures, processes and outcomes. In other words: Is the organization delivering safe, high-quality patient care in the way that it says it will?

AAAHC accreditation means that the organization participates in on-going self evaluation, peer review and education to continuously improve its care and services. The organization also commits to a thorough, on-site survey by AAAHC surveyors, who are themselves health care professionals, at least every three years.

The AAAHC is a peer-based, not-for-profit organization that is nationally recognized for conducting extensive evaluations of ambulatory health care organizations to ensure the highest quality standards. Health care organizations undergo a voluntary process to measure the quality of their services and performance against nationally recognized standards.
