Infection Control Award Presented to a DSO

Elaine Olejnik, Compliance Officer

Mesa Labs just announced the recipient of the first ever Summit Compliance Award, Great Expressions Dental Centers.  Elaine Olejnik RDH, compliance officer at GEDC, accepted the award.  An employee for almost 9 years, she handles OSHA training for the company as well as X-ray certification, systems training and analysis of protocols and procedures. She received her B.S. in dental hygiene from Univeristy of Detroit Mercy in 1983.

Mesa Labs, a public company based in Denver, CO, develops, manufactures and markets, process validation and monitoring instruments and consumables. From Fortune 500 companies, to high tech start-ups, their products are used to assure product quality, control manufacturing processes, and to solve problems in niche markets in healthcare, industrial, pharmaceutical, medical and food processing applications.

Established by Mesa, the award evolved from the acknowledgment that compliance should be celebrated and commended.  They wanted to recognize companies that have demonstrated an overall commitment to infection control by demonstrating high levels of weekly, biological sterilization monitoring compliance . Commitment to infection control helps assure that sterilization equipment is functioning properly, which is a critical measure in keeping patients and professionals safe.

Great Expressions Dental Centers is one of the largest and fastest growing dental support organizations in the United States.  GEDC currently supports over 270 practices located in 10 states.  To read all of the Great Expressions articles on Group Dentistry Now click HERE.
