Guardian Dentistry Partners Grows Again
Founded in 2018, Guardian has expanded rapidly and now supports dental entrepreneurs in Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia. The DSO was featured on GDN’s Emerging Groups to Watch list in 2020 and GDN’s Voice of the DSO Industry Podcast. First Colocation for Aspen Dental® And ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers® Now Open in Albuquerque, New Mexico
TAG announces the opening of a first-of-its kind colocation joining together Aspen Dental and ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers under one roof, resulting in a more seamless and comprehensive experience for dental patients. Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the 9,052 square-foot colocation provides a broader spectrum of patient services, from routine preventative care to fixed full-arch restorations. TAG was founded by Bob Fontana, who also serves as their chairman and CEO. Kevin Mosher is the CEO of ClearChoice Management Services.

WellNow Urgent Care Acquires Physicians Immediate Care
WellNow Urgent Care, which is part of TAG The Aspen Group, announced that it has completed the strategic acquisition of Physicians Immediate Care, a Midwest provider of urgent care and occupational health services with 55 locations in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. WellNow currently operates 128 centers across New York, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. This acquisition follows a period of rapid growth for WellNow, which opened its first location in Big Flats, New York in 2012. Since then, in addition to opening new facilities, the company has also grown through the strategic acquisitions of MASH Urgent Care in 2018, Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health in 2020 and Primary Urgent Care in 2022. TAG supports more than 1,200 independently owned practice locations in 45 states through its four healthcare brands: Aspen Dental®, ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers®, WellNow Urgent Care® and Chapter Aesthetic StudioSM. Combined, the brands serve more than 35,000 patients a day and more than 8 million patients each year.

An Affiliate of The Beekman Group Partners with First Choice Dental to Accelerate Growth
An affiliate of The Beekman Group announces the recapitalization of FCDG Management, LLC (First Choice Dental or FCD), a multi-specialty dental service organization in the Greater Madison, Wisconsin market. Beekman’s investment will support FCD’s continued growth. Since its founding in 1996, First Choice Dental has grown into one of the largest dental platforms in Wisconsin. FCD provides a diverse array of dental services, including general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery services. Kevin J. Klagos is the CEO of First Choice Dental. First Choice Dental is the ninth platform investment for Beekman Investment Partners IV, LP and the fifth dental service platform for The Beekman Group over its 18-year history.

TLC for Smiles Joins in New Partnership With Smile Brands
Smile Brands announces its new affiliate partnership with TLC for Smiles in Granada Hills and Chatsworth, CA. Dr. Janet Schrodi founded TLC for Smiles in 2008. She currently leads a team of 45 across both locations. Led by Steve Bilt, Smile Brands, based in Irvine, California, is one of the largest providers of dental support services in the United States. The company supports nearly 700 affiliated practices, with more than 7,500 dedicated team members across 30 states.

Simply Beautiful Smiles Surpasses 40 Offices, Accelerating Growth
Simply Beautiful Smiles has more than doubled their footprint over just two years. The Trevose, Pennsylvania headquartered, DSO now boasts a presence in five states (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, New York and Virginia). Its latest acquisitions, both in Maryland – Dr. Bradley Olson’s “Smile Images” practice in Waldorf and the practice of Dr. Kevin Doring in Edgewater – mark Simply Beautiful Smiles’ 40th and 41st locations. The company is on pace to comprise more than 50 individual offices by the close of 2022. Founded in 2000 by doctors, the group is led by Tim North, President & CEO.

Absolute Dental Reaches 40 Practice Milestone with Completion of Two Practice Acquisitions in Southern Nevada
Absolute Dental Group, LLC, Nevada’s largest branded DSO, has just completed the acquisition of two dental practices in southern Nevada. These newest practices are located in Summerlin and Henderson. Absolute Dental has now affiliated 3 additional offices in 2022, expanding its total network to 40 locations in Nevada, with plans to expand access to the local community in Nevada. Dental Care Alliance Adds Three Affiliations
DCA currently supports over 380 allied practices with more than 775 dentists across 21 states. DCA’s allied practices represent all dental specialties and treat patients under more than 140 brand names.  The three new affiliations are Burleson Pediatric Dentistry, located in a Burleson, TX, a suburb of Fort Worth, Nevid Dental, a general dentistry office located in Pawling, New York, and Bryn Mawr Dental Associates, situated in the northwest suburbs of Philadelphia.

The Smilist Expands to Pennsylvania
The Smilist Management, Inc. has welcomed its first partner in the state of Pennsylvania – Dr. Robert Daschbach. The practice, Daschbach and Associates has been serving Bucks & Montgomery Counties for more than 35 years. Patricia Mahony, CEO, leads The Smilist which was founded in 2014. Since its founding, The Smilist has rapidly grown to support over 45 offices with nearly 900 employees in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Marquee Dental Announces Grand Opening in Smyrna. 
Marquee Dental in Smyrna, TN opened at the start of the year but officially held its grand opening celebration July 14th. In addition to games, giveaways and food, they offered free oral cancer screening to all attendees. The office is led by Dr. David Dewberry. Marquee Dental Partners is led by Fred Ward.

Marquee Dental Partners Expands into Lexington, Kentucky Market
Marquee Dental Partners announces its partnership with O’Donnell Family Dentistry of Lexington, Kentucky. O’Donnell Family Dentistry has served the Lexington community for more than 25 years. With the addition of O’Donnell Family Dentistry, Marquee Dental Partners is now partnered with 68 offices across five states.

Premier Care Dental Management Announces Two Partnerships.
The two new partners are Edison Dental Arts, located in Edison, NJ, and Joseph M. Zona Periodontics and Implant Surgery, located in Staten Island, NY. These partnerships bring Premier Care Dental Management to 99 general and specialty offices throughout the New York and Boston Metropolitan areas.  Premier Care Dental Management offers support services to Dental365, Leading Edge Oral Surgery and Beacon Dental Health. Dr. Scott Asnis is the CEO and Founder of Dental365 and Premier Care Dental Management. Dental365 was on the Emerging Groups to Watch in 2017 list and featured on The Group Dentistry Now Show: The Voice of the DSO Industry – Episode 47.

US Endo Partners Welcomes New Partners. The latest additions to their growing community of endodontists are:

 Life Dental Group Celebrates Major Milestone 
Life Dental Group, a dentist-owned dental services organization based in Oxford, Miss., is entering the second half of 2022 by celebrating a major milestone: its fifth anniversary. The fast-growing company, which opened its first clinic in 2017, now has seven practices with more than 85 employees across Mississippi and Alabama, with plans to establish dozens more in the next couple of years. The growing group was founded by Dr. Mike Huggins.

Eagle Dental Management Grows
The DSO which was started as a way to assist struggling practices during the pandemic, adds a new location: DFW Implant Team which is led by Dr. Donald Steinberg. Tend Expands
Tend Midtown, located in Colony Square in the heart of Atlanta is now open. This marks their third Atlanta location. The emerging dental group which was founded in 2018 is headquartered in NYC. They currently have locations in Washington DC (6), NYC (11), Boston (2), Atlanta (3) and will be opening a Nashville location soon.

Imagen Dental Partners Adds Practices:

West Coast Dental Announces Strategic Capital Investment from Court Square Capital Partners
West Coast Dental, a multi-specialty dental and orthodontic care group headquartered in California, announced that Court Square Capital Partners, a middle market-focused private equity firm with $7.6 billion in assets under management, has made a major investment in WCD’s support organization. WCD currently has 40 multi-specialty dental and orthodontic offices across California, including West Coast Dental and Magicland branded offices, and employs over 130 highly skilled general and specialist dentists providing care in more than 425,000 patient visits each year. In 2021, WCD celebrated the 30th anniversary of its founding in 1991.

Australia’s Fastest Growing DSO Adds Location
Pacific Smiles Group, which is headquartered in Greenhills, NSW, Australia, opened a new location in Southgate Shopping Centre, Sylvania.  The group has over 100 centres located throughout New South Wales, Queensland, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria.
