Operations are the backbone of any dental organization. Operational leaders typically lead all non-clinical functions of the group/offices and ensure that best practices, efficiencies, and team culture are implemented and functioning.

Depending upon the needs of each group, the role can range from an Operations Administrator to Manager to Director to Vice President to the highest point of Chief Operations Officer.  As titles and responsibilities very greatly by organization, a good rule of thumb is a progression from office and day-to-day responsibilities at the administrator and manager level to a more strategic and visionary role for the C-level.
