Here is GDN’s exclusive list of DSO and emerging group M&A for January:
TUSK Practice Sales, a healthcare-focused M&A Advisor, advised Dr. Bob’s Dental Care, a multi-location group dental practice owned and operated by Dr. Robert LaCarrubba and Dr. Jason Creps, in its partnership with MB2 Dental. The transaction was led by Kevin Sauer, Director of M&A. Alex Cherniavsky and Sam Lupton spearheaded the diligence and analytics efforts for TUSK. Dr. Bob’s Dental Care has served communities across Western New York for decades. Dallas-based MB2 Dental is DPO which has partnered with more than 750 general and specialty dental practices across 44 states. It was founded in 2007 and is still led by dentist and entrepreneur Dr. Chris Steven Villanueva.
MB2 Dental introduced seven new practices and welcomed six doctor partners across six states in the first month of the new year:
- Children’s Dental Specialist & Adult Dentistry in Warrington, PA, Acquisition
- O-G Family & General Dentistry in Glandorf, OH, Acquisition
- Boyd Family Dentistry in Owasso, OK, Acquisition
- LoPour & Associates in Albuquerque, NM, Acquisition
- BLVD Dentistry & Orthodontics in Cypress, TX, De Novo
- Kileen Family Dentistry in Kileen, TX, Acquisition
My Community Dental Centers (MCDC) Monroe dental clinic inside the Monroe County Health Department has permanently closed, the nonprofit dental organization announced. The Monroe clinic had been temporarily closed since Dec. 19, when its dentist left the practice. In 2024, the Monroe dental team served 1,874 patients. MCDC is also closing its clinics in Grand Haven, Ionia, Roscommon, Spalding and St. Johns. The MI-based organization will continue to operate its 28 remaining dental centers in the state. MCDC began in 2006, and the Monroe clinic opened in 2013. It cited rising costs of care, staffing challenges and growing demands for higher wages within the dental industry as reasons for the closures.
Heartland Dental’s supported network expanded, opening six de novo practices across North Carolina, Florida, Maryland, and Texas.
Todays Dental just opened their third practice location. The newest location is in Joliet, IL. The dental group also has locations in Plainfield, IL and Beverly, IL. The group is led by Drs. Deepak Agarwal, Raunak Patel and Rupal Patel.
SALT Dental Partners announced their newest partnership with Captial Kids Dentistry, a pediatric dental practice in Washington, DC. Capital Kids Dentistry was SALT’s 59th practice location. It was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in Phoenix, AZ. Captial Kids is led by Dr. Jessica Rubin.
CORDENTAL Group welcomed Dr. Bob Spennato, Dr. Dan Tibbetts, Dr. Jarred Gettes, and Dr. Alexa Spennato, and their team at Williamsburg Dental, located in Broomall, PA (Philadelphia), was founded in 1977. This affiliation represents CORDENTAL’s 45th practice in 9 states in the Midwest and Southeast.
After years of recruitment, planning, and raising capital, Freedom Dental Partners recently launched its second non-traditionally structured dental service organization using a new model for bringing dental practices together and enabling dentist owners to take on an entrepreneurial role. Freedom Dental Partners is led by CEO Avi Weisfogel.
Weisfogel’s other DSO is RevOne Dental Partners, a Virginia-based organization launched in spring of 2024 with 10 practices representing more than $3M in EBITDA. This organization is in the process of adding another six practices in 2025 worth an additional $3M. Their most recent success saw the grouping of dozens of practices across ten states, accounting for more than $10M in EBITDA. All of the practice owners met through Dental GrowthCon live, also led by Weisfogel.
PDS Health added three new dental practices in January. The leading integrated healthcare support organization added a total of 63 practices in 2024, demonstrating steady growth and continued expansion. PDS Health now supports more than 1,000 offices in 24 states.

The Aspen Group – TAG’s newest locations:
- On January 14, ClearChoice Dental Implant Center opened in The Villages, FL. Led by Elhaine Beato, DDS, MS, the new center represents ClearChoice’s 11th location in Florida and the 104th center in the network.
- On January 23, Aspen Dental opened in Sicklerville, NJ, led by owner Aaron Burnett, DDS, and managing clinical director Jessie Lee, DDS
Dental Depot closed out the year strong with the addition of their Owasso, OK location. In addition to their clinical offices, they now have regional headquarters in OKC, Tulsa, and Phoenix, plus two Dental Assisting Schools. They now have more than 900 employees, 71 dentists, and 5 orthodontists.
Lone Peak Dental Group expanded pediatric dentistry reach with acquisition of two Vital Smiles Locations in Georgia. Located in Albany and Norcross, these practices mark Lone Peak’s first entry into the Georgia market. The newly acquired Vital Smiles locations collectively house 12 providers, including two orthodontists. The DSO now operates over 75 practices across 15 states, treating more than 580,000 children annually.
Beacon Oral Specialists welcomed Dr. Farzaneh Rostami and Capital Oral & Facial Surgery, which serves the Washington, DC community. Beacon was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Dallas, TX.
Parkview Dental Partners, announced the acquisition of two Lifetime Smiles Dental Care practices located in Sarasota and St. Petersburg, Florida. On the heels of its acquisition of Breezy Dental, a practice in Tampa, this investment further expands Parkview’s footprint in the Gulf Coast region. Parkview is based in Sarasota, Florida. Lifetime Smiles Dental Care has been offering dental services in the Sarasota and St. Petersburg regions for ten years. Rene Sauerteig is the CEO of Parkview and Dr. Christopher Donato is the owner of Lifetime Smiles Dental Care.
Leading Edge Oral Surgery, an oral surgery group within Leading Edge Specialized Dentistry (Dental365), announced the acquisition of Miller Oral Surgery, which operates two locations in Harrisburg and Hershey, PA. This strategic acquisition further solidifies Leading Edge Oral Surgery’s commitment to oral and maxillofacial surgical care in the northeast region.
Allied OMS, a management services organizations (MSO) specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery, announced the addition of Parkway Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center in Houston, Texas to its growing platform, continuing its strategic expansion in Texas and key U.S. markets. Dr. Laith Mahmood leads Parkway Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center and Dan Hosler is the CEO of Allied OMS which was founded in 2020.
Innovate 32 announced its partnership with Bivens Dentistry, a provider of dental services in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Innovate 32 was formed by Shore Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm with offices in Nashville. Under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Josh Johnson and Innovate 32’s Board of Directors, Innovate 32 has partnered with dental practices throughout the South and Mid-Atlantic. The partnership with BD expands Innovate 32’s presence in Tennessee and network of growth-oriented dentists sharing best practices to deliver superior quality services.
Branford Castle Partners has acquired Eastern Dental Management, a dental group with 20 locations in New Jersey, from Staple Street Capital. Eastern Dental, established in 1978, is led by CEO Ray Iannaccone, MD, and he and the existing management team will continue to lead the company.
Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics opened their brand-new Thunderbird Office in Phoenix, AZ. Rodeo’s innovative approach to pediatric dentistry secured a place on the Fortunes’ Impact 20 list in 2023. In 2022, Dr. Saam Zarrabi, the group’s Co-Founder and CEO was awarded the prestigious title of DSO Influencer by GDN.
Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers, which specializes in pediatric dentistry, special needs care, oral surgery, and general anesthesia, announced that Cleveland Children’s Surgery Center is now collaborating with the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and its Dental Anesthesia residency program. As part of the collaboration, dental anesthesia residents will rotate through the ASC, where they can develop hands-on skills in treating pediatric and special needs patients. Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers currently supports a network of more than 20 facilities across 10 states.
Imagen Dental Partners announced the acquisition of Oaktown Family Dentistry, led by Dr. L. Reneé Dilley. Dr. Dilley has served the Oaktown, IN community since 2001. Imagen was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ.

Henry Schein announced strategic investment by KKR, Board changes and provides preliminary unaudited financial results and 2025 financial guidance:
- KKR to become 12% common shareholder in Henry Schein
- Henry Schein and KKR to collaborate on range of value creation opportunities
- Two KKR representatives with deep sector experience to join the Henry Schein Board as independent directors
- Separately, Robert J. Hombach, who brings extensive financial and strategic experience in health care, has joined the Henry Schein Board as an independent director
- Announces preliminary unaudited fourth-quarter 2024 GAAP diluted EPS of $0.74 and non-GAAP diluted EPS of $1.19, and preliminary 2025 financial guidance for full-year non-GAAP EPS of low to mid single digit growth
- Henry Schein has increased its share repurchase program authorization by $500 million
