The Association of Dental Support Organization’s annual summit is in full swing this week in Lake Buena Vista, Florida at the Swan Hotel. More than 850 attendees gathered to talk about the business of supporting dentists.
Several ‘invitation only’ events were held on Tuesday, March 7th. Those events included an ADSO CEO reception and dinner. The weather was near perfect with temperatures in the mid-80s.
Wednesday, March 8th was the official start of the ADSO Summit with some early morning meetings that drew diverse types of DSOs. An early morning ADSO CEO Board meeting had top DSOs from around the world congregate to discuss their businesses for 2017. Just a couple of rooms away from this DSO CEO meeting was Dr. Marc Cooper’s half day session, which was geared to new and/or smaller group practices. This program is designed for dentist entrepreneurs with several locations. Marc and his team covered everything from the psychology of leadership to strategic growth planning. This emerging dental group event was packaged with young DSOs and group practices looking for guidance in their quest for growth and success.
The day continued with various ADSO committee meetings, including a government affairs, Medicaid, and a networking committee meeting.
The official kick of the ADSO Summit commenced with the opening general session. DENTSPLY Sirona sponsored the event that featured keynote speaker Chip Madera, who entertained the crowd with his bold, motivational, and entertaining presentation.
The opening reception sponsored by Patterson Dental featured a live band, some great food and wonderful networking opportunities.
Dykema had an invitation only cocktail hour after the opening reception which was well attended and gave many attendees the opportunity to unwind from the start of what looks to be one of the best ADSO Summit meetings yet.
The meeting continues today and tomorrow. Group Dentistry Now will do a full recap of the ADSO Summit next week. Don’t miss it – stay informed! Subscribe today to our free monthly enewsletter.
