Great Expressions hosts Top Gun Awards in Nashville

Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC) honored leading doctors at its “Top Gun” awards, which recognize the dental service organization’s top-performers across its more than 250 offices in 10 states.  More than 100 GEDC doctors, clinical partners, special guests and vendors came together to honor doctors for their superior performance throughout the last year.  The award ceremony, which was held at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, was as entertaining as it was inspirational, featuring celebrity impersonators covering Dolly Parton, Elvis and Willie Nelson.

The “Top Gun” ceremony honors top-performing doctors based on patient care, dedication to mentorship programs and philanthropic efforts. In addition to honoring doctors for their hard work and contributions to the community, awardees and other attendees enjoyed team building activities at the ceremony.

To keep its team at the top of the profession, GEDC welcomed American Association of Orthodontists executive director, Chris Vranas, for a presentation on trends in orthodontics, while motivational speaker, Lewis Howes, presented his eight secrets to greatness in one’s professional and personal life.

Finally, to cap off the evening, the doctors had the opportunity to meet former Pittsburgh Steelers football player and Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis at the ceremony, and listened while he shared his story of overcoming the odds to accomplish success. Country artist Phil Vassar also performed for the audience while guests enjoyed a country line dancing course, country photo booth and bull riding.
