Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC), one of the largest dental support organizations in the U.S., with offices in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas and Virginia, recently announced that Dan Hirschfeld has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer. Founded in 1982, and operating as a single brand, GEDC provides comprehensive, affordable dental services throughout its network of over 300 affiliated practices, staffed by 500+ doctors and 450+ hygienists who deliver care to patients in over a million visits per year.
Dan Hirschfeld
Hirschfeld has over 30 years of experience in healthcare services, including as president and CEO of three different companies. Most recently, he served as President of Genesis Rehabilitation Services and International Operations and EVP/COO for Genesis Healthcare, Inc., a $6 billion publicly-traded healthcare services company focused on rehabilitation, long-term care and assisted living. During his tenure, Genesis Rehabilitation scaled from 400 locations to 1,700 locations.
Prior to his career at Genesis Healthcare and Genesis Rehabilitation Services, Hirschfeld served as the COO for Bill Me Later, which later became PayPal Credit. He also was the President and CEO of Hallmark Senior Communities Centers, VP of Business Development for HCR ManorCare, and VP of Essential Services for Meridian Health Care Management. Hirschfeld received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and graduated from Loyola with his MBA.
