DSO Spotlight

GPS DentalToday, GPS Dental – Guided Practice Solutions – celebrates a significant milestone: the partnership of its 100th office. This achievement not only reflects the company’s rapid growth but also highlights its unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional dental care to communities across the country.

Since its founding in 2015 by Dr. Hunter Smith and Dr. Will Little, GPS Dental has been at the forefront of transforming the dental care landscape.  The Dental Service Organization’s patient-centric model, coupled with its adoption of cutting-edge technology, has allowed GPS Dental to build a network of highly skilled professionals that continue to drive its success.

The first location they partnered with was Toland Dental in Wynne, AR. In December 2021, the company announced it had secured a strategic growth investment from Main Post Partners. By January 2024, the DSO had expanded to 75 locations.

Reaching 100 supported practices marks the culmination of years of dedication and effort by the GPS team and the doctors they support, reflecting the company’s commitment to building enduring, meaningful partnerships that distinguish them in the dental industry. Their 100th location is Taylor Street Dental in Springfield, MA.

Currently, the group’s growth strategy focuses solely on acquisitions, with their practices remaining non-branded. The DSO is headquartered in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

As GPS Dental celebrates this milestone, Dr. Hunter Smith, CEO and Co-Founder, expressed his gratitude: “I’m humbled that so many of my dentist-colleagues have entrusted GPS Dental to support and collaborate with them. I’m immensely proud of everyone who contributes their efforts each day, and I feel privileged to be part of such a remarkable team. Co-Founder and CEO Dr. Will Little echoed these sentiments, adding, “It’s an honor to work alongside such talented colleagues, friends, and partners. About the Founders:

Dr. Hunter Smith, after graduating dental school to become a General Dentist, co-founded GPS Dental in 2015 with Dr. Will Little. By partnering with Will in their hometown of Jonesboro, Arkansas, GPS was founded on the idea of creating real, meaningful, and lasting equity partnerships with dental clinicians around a dental support organization that could add value to all areas of their non-clinical needs. Hunter graduated college from Arkansas State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Professional Studies with a Biology Emphasis and a minor in Chemistry. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s College of Dentistry in Memphis in 2014.

Dr. Will Little graduated dental school from the University of Tennessee in 2013 and moved back to his hometown of Jonesboro, Arkansas to practice clinically with Dr. Ron Burnett. In 2015, Dr. Little teamed up with his college and dental school friend Dr. Hunter Smith to co-found GPS Dental. Since then, he has worked to build quality partnerships with great clinicians in exceptional practices across the country. GPS Dental was built on the foundations of clinical autonomy and transparency between the DSO and our clinicians. Dr. Little works everyday to protect the practice of clinical dentistry while creating value to the partners of GPS.
