Heartland Dental was recently recognized by Newsweek for two awards: America’s Greatest Workplaces and America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity in 2024. This came after the organization was reviewed among 1.5 million large and mid-sized companies in a nationwide study and achieved a 5-star rating for both awards. The surveys covered topics like compensation and benefits, training and career progression, work-life balance, company culture, and more.
United Dental Corporation announced the appointment of Allan Weinstein to its Board of Directors. Allan is the Managing Partner of Gainline Capital Partners. Prior to co-founding Gainline in 2015, he was a Managing Partner of CAI Private Equity, which he joined in 2012. Before joining CAI, Allan was a Managing Director at Lincolnshire Management, Inc where he served for nearly 18 years
Leslie Soto has been promoted to Vice President of Operations at Five Point Dental Specialists. She previously worked for Five Point Dental Specialists as a Director of Support Operations and as a Director of Operations at Trucare Dental.
Betty Ann McVeigh has started a new position as Vice President Operations at 123 Dentist. McVeigh has worked for 123Dentist for nearly 24 years, serving as a Regional Manager and Director, Operations Eastern Canada.
Smile Brands Inc. has appointed a new Vice President of Implant Dentistry, Travis Cassano. Travis has experience in being the Vice President and Director of Implant Dentistry at Sonrava Health. Additionally, he worked for Western Dental & Orthodontics for 7 years as a Director of Restorative Implant Dentistry and Senior Implant & Product Manager.
Chord Specialty Dental Partners announced:
- Dr. Steven Melnic as its new Chief Clinical Officer. Dr. Melnic has served as a Board-Certified pediatric dentist in Chord’s partner practices for more than eight years.
- Michelle Layden-Parmigiani joins the growing group as Vice President Operations. She was previously self-employed as a Dental Success Consultant and at Heartland Dental as a Practice Transition Manager.
Benevis announced:
- Dominique Szach, Director of Dental Hygiene, won a national award from the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. The ADHA’s Standout Seven Award – Corporate is given to a licensed dental hygienist who demonstrates dedication and innovation in their dental hygiene role. Szach received the award on July 24 at the organization’s annual conference in New Orleans.
- Their Porter Dental & Braces location earned a Great Practice for Dental Assistants to Work award from the Dental Assisting National Board. This location was recognized for their environment.
Dr. Donny Quick, DDS from Rock Dental Brands has been voted Conway Arkansas’s 2024 Dental Professional of the Year by the Conway Arkansas Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Quick graduated from the University of Tennessee and completed his residency at Emory University. He has been practicing since 2003 and treats patients from Arkansas Oral Surgery in Conway, Arkansas.
The Chief Technology Officer of ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, Dev Ashish, has been nominated for CIO of the year by ColoradoCIO. Ashish has been working for ClearChoice for over 5 years as a CIO and Chief Technology and Center Operations Officer.
Kelcie Troutman has started a new position as Senior Director of Clinical Support at Lumio Dental. Kelcie has been working for Lumino Dental for almost five years as a Director of Dental Hygiene. She was previously a Registered Dental Hygienist and Practice manager for Burlington Dental Center.
Melissa Adams started a new position as Director of Specialty Practice Development at MB2 Dental. As a Director of Specialty Practice Development, she will be setting goals, strategies, and standards for the practice along with managing performance, resources and operations. Adams previously worked as a Practice Administrator at Oral and Facial Surgeons of Arizona.
Smile Brands Inc. has appointed a new Senior Marketing Manager: Natasha Mellgren. She has lots of experience with marketing as she was the Marketing Manager for Smile Brands Inc. for over eight years. Additionally, she worked as an Operations Manager for Inkworks Print & Design Group.
Roe J. McFarlane has been appointed as the CEO of the Modis Advanced Education initiative. Roe joins Modis to drive digital and business development activities in training and digital services. He will work alongside Pete Wong, CEO of Modis Dental Partners, to increase course enrollment, develop new courses, and expand eCommerce presence. The Pikos Institute will continue to train dental professionals within and beyond the Modis family and Thurston Group companies.
Shore Dental Partners has welcomed Matt Stewart as their new Vice President of Operations. Stewart worked as a Vice President of Operations at Local Infusions and also at Pure Dental Brands.
Nessreen Hagopian has started a new role and Director of Operations with Gen4 Dental Partners. Hagopian was a previously employed at Sonrava Health as a Senior Operations Tiner for more than eight years and worked as a Project Specialist at Western Dental.
Dr. Naveen Verma started a new position as Senior Vice President at 123 Dentist. Dr. Naveen Verma served as the CO-Ceo of Brush Dental for over 8 years. Before this, Verma worked at 123 Dentist as Vice President for five years before coming back to serve as Senior Vice President.
Steve Arbabi has been appointed the new Senior Vice President of Operations at Lightwave Dental. Steve previously worked for Dentive as a Vice President of Field Operations and Head of Practice Success. He also has experience as Director of Operations at Smile Brands Inc.
HRD Canada has nominated Dentalcorp’s Chief People Officer, Nicola Deall, as a finalist for “HR Leader of the Year” in the Canadian HR Awards. Holly Farbo, RDH has been promoted to Academic and Industry Program Director for Specialty and Hygiene at Dental Care Alliance. She previously worked as University Relations Partner-Specialty for the company. Before her time at Dental Care Alliance, she worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist for Aspen Dental.
Charmaine O Croy has started a new position as Chief of Staff Operations at the Smilist Managment. With this position, Charmaine will be overseeing projects or initiatives spanning the entire organization. This position involves bringing together stakeholders and making large decisions for the company. She has worked for the Smilist Management for almost three years, previously working as the Vice President of Integrations.
OMS360 has appointed Joshua Everts, DDS, MD, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, as the organization’s first Chief Clinical Officer. In this new role, Dr. Everts will lead collaboration between surgeons, continuing education, and mentoring opportunities. He will also serve as the direct funnel of partner doctors’ voices.
