Risas Dental & Braces is a growing dental support organization with roots in Arizona. It currently operates 10 offices in Arizona, with several locations in Phoenix, as well as locations in Mesa, Tempe and Glendale. A DSO member of the Association of Dental Support Organizations, they recently kicked off the grand opening of their new location in Federal Heights, Colorado, with free dental care.
Risas Dental & Braces’ Managing Director Jeff Adams said the expansion into the Federal Heights area was ideal because the population there is under served in dental care. “In a normal market, there are about 2,000 people per dentist office, and there are almost 2,500 people per dentist office in this particular area,” he said. “That means it doesn’t have the dental service that it needs.”
“We believe that dentistry has gotten way too expensive,” Adams said. “Our prices are about 30 to 40 percent less than what a typical dentist charges, and we offer payment plans over 8 to 12 months. The market has received it extremely well.”
Risas Dental & Braces entered the Colorado market just three years ago and they currently have four locations in and around Denver. Eyeing the population growth in the Denver area, Risas is expecting to open an additional three offices in Colorado in the next year. In five years, the Arizona-based dental company has given $2.3 million in free dentistry.
