ProHEALTH Dental Inks Clinical Affiliation with Long Island Provider Network
The group operates 13 locations with seven more planned throughout the NY metropolitan area for later this year. Each location has from 8 to 14 operatories and are mostly de novo. Their model focuses on the oral systemic connection with the motto: Put Your Health Where Your Mouth Is. ProHEALTH Dental is co-located where primary care, pediatrics, OBGYN, cardiology, urology, etc., are offered. Their newest partnership is with the Independent Physician Association of Nassau/Suffolk Counties. The New Hyde Park, Nassau County-based dental provider’s locations will be able to mutually coordinate oral health, dental hygiene, primary care and multispecialty care with the 2,200-phsysical association. Dental365 Adds 5th New Jersey Office , Dental365 Adds 6th New Jersey Office, First Office in the Bronx and First Office in Dutchess Cty, NY
Dental365 continues to expand at an accelerated rate with it’s latest partnership with Dr. Neil Stearns. The office is the fifth Dental365 location in the state of New Jersey. Also added in NJ is Advanced Dentistry, located in Middlesex NJ to their growing organization. Advanced Dentistry – A Dental365 Company is located less than 4 miles south of Warren Family Dental – A Dental365 Company which joined the organization in December of 2020. The expansion into NJ started about six months ago. In addition to NJ, Dental365 has nearly 70 locations throughout New York and Connecticut, including the newest NY location in Poughkeepsie. Their brand new partnership with Hudson Valley Dental Arts is led by Dr. Larry Hamburg and is the first Dental365 location in Dutchess County. Furthermore in NY, Covenant Dentistry, located in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx has joined Dental365 and is the first location in the Bronx Borough. The office, led by Dr. Erica Mills, has provided high-quality dental services to patients throughout the Bronx for 15 years. The dental group was on the Emerging Groups to Watch in 2017 list. It is not often that a DSO has so many dental practices and dentists asking to join that a majority are not accepted – but that is exactly the case with this unique, fast-growing, affordable and exceptional DSO. Dental365 To Be Acquired by The Jordan Company, L.P.
The Jordan Company, L.P. announced that an affiliate of The Resolute Fund V, L.P. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Dental365 from the founding shareholders and current investor Regal Healthcare Capital Partners, L.P. Resolute V is completing the acquisition in partnership with Dental365’s founder and CEO, Dr. Scott Asnis, who will continue to lead the DSO. Regal and its founders, Dr. David Kim and Jon Santemma will remain minority investors in the group. The transaction is expected to close in August. To date, the dental group has nearly doubled in size each year and has over 400,000 patient visits annually. In addition, it employs over 165 dentists and 800 staff members. This new investment will provide them with significant resources as it drives continued expansion and will continue to scale into additional states throughout the U.S. The Jordan Company, founded in 1982, is a middle-market private equity firm that manages funds with original capital commitments in excess of $16 billion with a 39-year track record of investing.

ENDO1 Partners Adds 34 Practices & Expands National Footprint
Since January, Endo1 Partners has expanded into seven new states, adding Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. The company formed partnerships with 34 new practices and added 42 new specialists to its network from these states. Given this rapid growth during the first and second quarters, Endo1 Partners expects to exceed its goal of adding 50 new locations to its network in 2021. Read GDN’s article on ENDO1 HERE.

DSO, Onsite Dental, Acquires HENRY The Dentist, Expanding Its Employer-Based Dental Care Footprint Nationwide
Onsite Dental, the national leader of employer-based dental care backed by Norwest Venture Partners, today completed its acquisition of the venture-backed mobile dental firm, HENRY The Dentist (HENRY). The acquisition adds HENRY’s complementary delivery models, branding and marketing expertise, client and prospect lists, and east coast presence to Onsite Dental’s long standing leadership position. To date, Onsite Dental has raised close to $60M in funding and anticipates raising additional funds for further expansion soon. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, both Onsite Dental and HENRY were doubling their annual revenues and the combined company mirrors the same growth rate now as the pandemic caused a sharp uptick in health-conscious behaviors including increased attention to oral health. Rock Dental Acquires 9 Clinics in 3 States
Rock Dental Brands of Little Rock announced Wednesday the acquisition of nine clinics across Arkansas, Tennessee and Missouri. The acquisitions, completed in separate deals over the past few months, bring the total number of Rock Dental Brands-supported clinics to 84 across three states. The new Arkansas clinics are two Jim Moore Orthodontics locations in Pine Bluff and Monticello; two Arkansas Oral Surgery locations in Conway and Russellville; the office of Dr. Michael Wharton-Palmer, a pediatric dentist in Texarkana; and South Arkansas Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in El Dorado. The DSO, which like many others is in growth mode, hired a new CEO, Kristi Crum, last month. In 2018, Rock Dental Brands and Apex Dental, both of Little Rock, announced that they would be combining operations. In 2017, they added Arkansas Dentistry & Braces’s 19 practice locations.

Beacon Dental Health Expands Northeast Footprint with Massachusetts and Rhode Island Affiliations
Beacon Dental Health announced the multi-unit affiliation and integration of Kerr Dental Associates and Columbian Square Dental, leading dental practices in Eastern Massachusetts, and Aesthetic Dentistry of Wickford, a premiere practice in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Beacon Dental Health also announced its affiliation with Heller Dental, a premier comprehensive dentistry practice in Southeastern Massachusetts. Dr. James Heller and the clinical and administrative teams will remain at the practice, a newly built facility featuring state of the art equipment. Beacon Dental Health, based in Boston, Massachusetts, was co-founded by Dr. Frank Schiano – he now acts as the emerging dental group’s chief clinical officer.

Aspen Dental Opens 44^th Practice in Illinois
Aspen Dental Management, Inc. (ADMI) is one of the largest retail healthcare business support organizations in the U.S., supporting 15,000 healthcare professionals and team members at more than 1,000 health and wellness offices across 46 states in three distinct categories: Dental care, urgent care, and medical aesthetics. The Aspen Dental network includes more than 905 offices, in 43 states. The latest dental office is led by Dr. Amjad Ali. Dr. Ali received his dental degree from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. Aspen recently made big moves in the DSO space with its launch of Motto, a new, clear aligner experience. In addition to that, it recently recent expanded into medical aesthetic clinic management. Simply Beautiful Smiles Acquires Olin Dental Group
Simply Beautiful Smiles, based in Delaware Valley, PA, has announced it has acquired the Olin Dental Group in Rahway, New Jersey, as it seeks to further expand its geographic footprint and dental offerings. Simply Beautiful Smiles (SBS), founded by veteran dentist Dr. Louis D’Angelo, began with a single office in 2000. With more than 25 locations, Simply Beautiful Smiles is now the Delaware Valley’s largest dental provider, serving Central and Southern New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Northern Delaware. Dr. Richard Olin founded Olin Dental Group 40 years ago.

Gentle Dental Launches EPDH Practice in Madras, Oregon
Gentle Dental, a full service dental provider with 160 locations nationwide, has opened this newest location in partnership with Capitol Dental Care to extend access to Oregon Health Plan members in the rural area of Madras in Jefferson County, Oregon and to assist in achieving total integrated health through our first Integrated Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist (I-EPDH) practice. Southern Orthodontic Partners Adds Three Strong Practices in Q2
Southern Orthodontic Partners (SOP) closed partnerships with three practices in the second quarter of 2021. The new practices were in key strategic target markets for SOP – Greater Houston, Texas and Central Virginia – bringing SOP’s footprint to three total practices in both geographies. New partners include Dr. James “Jim” Hanigan and Dr. Daniel Johnson of Hanigan + Johnson Orthodontics (Houston, TX), Dr. Diana Almy of Fredericksburg Orthodontics (Fredericksburg, VA), and Dr. Larry Scarborough of James River Orthodontics (Henrico, VA). These additional partner practices in both Texas and Virginia align with SOP’s infill or “land and expand” strategy to create density with leading practices in attractive markets. USOSM Enters Arizona Market and Begins its Westward Expansion

The practice has two board-certified surgeons and two locations serving patients in Scottsdale and Avondale, Arizona. Dental Care Alliance Welcomes Naylors Court Dental Partners to its Growing Family of World-Class Practices
Dental Care Alliance (DCA) announces the addition of Naylors Court Dental Partners to its growing family of allied practices. Led by the innovative husband and wife team of Drs. Mohit and Jennifer Virmani for over 15 years, they have served the community of Pikesville, MD and its surrounding areas. DECA Dental Group Grows Again
DECA Dental Group just opened its fifth location in Orlando, Ideal Dental of Kissimmee, with more to come. Recently the DSO’s founder and CEO, Dr. Sulman Ahmed, was awarded the honor of DSO Influencer. Dr. Sulman Ahmed founded the Dallas-based DECA Dental in 2008 with one location. As the Founder & CEO, he has grown the DSO to over 100 offices located in multiple MSAs and states. The privately-owned dental group operates under the brand name: Ideal Dental. DECA Dental has been on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing privately held companies four times in the past six years. Their largely de novo-based model considers itself to be the “Starbucks of Dentistry.”

Verber Dental Group Announces Search Dental, A New State-of-the-Art Dental Facility
The Verber Dental Group is a locally owned dental health system that provides comprehensive integrated interdisciplinary dental services to children and adults. Its network is comprised of general and specialty offices in Camp Hill, Lemoyne, Mechanicsburg, Enola, Etters, and Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Recently, the emerging DSO broke ground and is underway with a projected opening slated for April of 2022. The new office has been designed by KD3 Design Studio and outfitted with the latest advancements in dental technology. The Verber Dental Group is partnering with Members 1st to finance the project.

MCA Dental Group Announces Significant Equity Commitment by Persistence Capital Partners and Investor Group Led by DWS’s Private Equity Business
MCA Dental Group Limited, an Ottawa-based dental service organization that partners with dentists across Canada to build practices that thrive, has just announced a significant follow-on equity commitment from Persistence Capital Partners with an investor group led by DWS Group’s private equity business. This new round of capital will be used to further MCA’s aggressive growth strategy in Canada allowing the organization to continue its rapid expansion targets. MCA is a dental service organization.

Bright Now! Dental Opens New Affiliated Office in Spokane Valley, WA

Smile Brands Inc., based in Irvine California, is one of the largest providers of dental support services in the United States. The company supports nearly 700 affiliated practices, with more than 8,200 dedicated team members across 30 states. Smile Brands supports a portfolio of over 60 brands including well-known regional brands Bright Now! Dental, Castle Dental, Merit Dental, Midwest Dental, Monarch Dental, and Mondovi Dental. Smile Brands is a portfolio company of Gryphon Investors, a middle-market private equity firm based in San Francisco, CA.

Walter Capital Partners Invests in Clareo, Quebec Dental Network
Walter Capital Partners, headquartered in Montréal, announced a partnership with Clareo Dental Network, the largest domestic network of dental clinics in Québec, to propel its growth. This transaction marks Walter Capital’s fourteenth investment in Canadian businesses with high growth potential. They plan to collaborate with the Clareo team to build a network of more than 50 general and specialty dental clinics in the next five years, opening new opportunities for Quebec dentists to join the network. Dr. Alain Thivierge is Clareo’s president and founder.

Espire Dental Expands into Wyoming and adds a location in Southern California
Espire Dental recently opened its first location in Wyoming. The location will be led by Dr. Shaun Rocknak and Dr. Christopher Havens. Espire also adds a practice in Southern CA and welcomes Drs. Scott and Leslie Strommer in the San Diego area. Founded in 1973 and privately held, the DSO is headquartered in Denver, CO. The group now has ten locations including five locations in CO, one location in WY, two locations in OK, and La Mesa, CA. Espire’s CEO and co-founder, Robert Linder, and their chairman and co-founder, Ryan Heckman attended Dykema DSO Industry Group’s conference recently where they will be panelists.

HealthEdge Completes Investment in Today’s Dental Network, a Premier Dental Practice Network & Support Organization
