What defines your success as a dentist entrepreneur? Your path is unique. Are you looking to scale your practice? Or do you have multiple dental practice locations and are thinking of selling? Perhaps you are looking to mitigate risk by partnering? “Should I Build, Sell, Or Partner?”— the 2018 Dentist Entrepreneur Organization (DEO) Fall Summit offered solutions to these questions. At the Summit, held November 2 – 4, over 400 dental industry experts, dentist entrepreneurs and vetted vendors came together in Dallas, TX to evaluate options for success in group dentistry.

Leaders in the managed group practices and the DSO space shared best practices and strategies among many sessions and panels. Attendees listened and learned from the stories of dentist entrepreneurs who have successfully scaled on topics like pros/cons of building a large group/DSOs; successes and challenges along the way and pitfalls to avoid.

Those attendees interested in exploring selling learned their options when seeking acquisition; how, why, what buyers look for, and when it is the right choice.

Exploring the option of partnering, sessions focused on what it’s like to work with or team up with DSOs and how larger DSOs source, acquire, onboard new practices as well as create accountability and ownership in associate dentists.
